SF - The Significance of Good Intentions

The Significance of Good Intentions

On the first of Nissan, Moshe Rabenu instructed  Klal Yisrael to bring the Korbon Pesach (Paschal offering) on the fourteenth of the month. They immediately agreed to fulfill the Mitzvah.  Amazingly, the Torah credits Klal Yisrael's
intention to fulfill the Mitzvah as if they actually fulfilled the Mitzvah! Therefore, they began to receive the reward of the Mitzvah from the first of the month, even though the true fulfillment of  the Mitzvah took place two weeks later.

Lesson:  HaShem rewards us according to our intention and preparation to do good in the future. Good character traits enable a person to fulfill the Torah. Therefore, if a person actively works on the development of good character traits, he is rewarded as if he fulfilled the entire Torah!

App: Dedicate time for daily Mussar study and the development of good character traits. You will be rewarded for your good intention as if you fulfilled the entire Torah!
(Based on the commentary of the Saba Kadisha M'Kelm on Shemos 12:28)
