What HaShem Asks of Klal Yisrael Rabbi Akiva said that the fulfillment of the verse, "Love your friend as you love yourself," is the foundational principle of the Torah. Therefore, it is important to conduct all of our relationships with a great measure of love. The more we love others, the more we grasp the roots of the holy Torah. In this light, "HaShem said to Klal Yisrael: 'My beloved children, all I ask of you is that you love each other, honor each other, and respect each other; and that there be no injustice amongst you.'" Lesson: Our mission is to live peacefully as the children of HaShem. When Klal Yisrael has love, unity, and respect for each other, we are pleasing to HaShem -- and HaShem will redeem us. Visualization: Envision awakening the love in your heart so that you love other people as you love yourself. Make a special effort to be kind and gracious to every person. Know that these good virtues are pleasing to HaShem, and will help awaken great blessings, miracles, and redemption for you and Klal Yisrael. (Based on the Middos V'Mitzvos, of the Chofetz Chaim)
