Focus On the Good
"And Yitzchak loved Eisev....and Rivkah loved Yaacov" (Bereishis 25:28). Yitzchak Avinu did not love Eisev to the exclusion of Yaacov. For Yitzchak was a prophet and he knew that Eisev was evil and Yaacov was righteous. Rather, "Yitzchak loved Eisev" even though he was evil. Yitzchak saw the latent good in Eisev and loved him for his positive qualities and his potential. Yitzchek hoped his love for Eisev would encourage him to transform his ways to the path of good.
Lesson: Even the most wayward Jewish person has an inherently holy soul and is immutably good. When his loved ones and friends focus on his good, this gives him the best chance to self-redemption.
App: Use your love to always search for the good in others, and inspire them to shine with the light of their holy souls.
