The Foundation of Faith
After HaShem lead Klal Yisrael to a miraculous victory over the oppressive Cananites, Devorah sang to HaShem, "My heart is with the lawgivers of Israel, who devoted themselves to the people saying, "Bless HaShem." The Rabbis, who were experts in the Torah law, circulated throughout Klal Yisrael and taught them to "Bless HaShem and to do Teshuvah." The Rabbis resuscitated the souls of their fellow man by inspiring them to recognize -- and bless -- the goodness of HaShem. They did not concern themselves with the practical observance until they reestablished the pillars of faith amongst the nation.
Lesson: The foundation of Torah observance is belief and trust in HaShem. When we sense our faith is waning, the first priority is to revitalize our faith, the very life of our soul.
App: Uplift others by strengthening their faith and trust in HaShem, the G-d of Israel -- our Creator, our merciful Father, our Rock and Redeemer. (Based on the commentary of Rashi to Shoftim 5:9)
